What is in the box — and what you can add
Every Lumeno magnifying lamp ships with the lamp, the power supply, a table clamp and the manual. If you clamp it to the edge of a desk, you need nothing else.
If you want to move the lamp freely around the room or stand it on the desk, you need a stand — and you do not have to piece it together yourself. Most series are available directly as a set with stand: on the product page you simply pick "5 dioptres with rolling stand" or "5 dioptres with table stand" instead of "5 dioptres". Lamp and stand then arrive together, matched to each other, in a single order.
Which series is available as a set
| Series | with table stand | with rolling stand |
|---|---|---|
| 721X (127 mm) | yes, 3 / 5 / 8 dpt | yes, 3 / 5 / 8 dpt |
| 821X (127 mm) | yes, 3 / 5 dpt | yes, 3 / 5 dpt |
| 861X (oval) | yes, 3 / 5 dpt | yes, 3 / 5 dpt |
| 851X (152 mm) | — | yes, 3 / 5 dpt |
Stands are also available separately — for retrofitting a lamp you already own, or for a series that is not offered as a set.
The mounting pin is the same everywhere
All Lumeno magnifying lamps use the same mounting pin of 12.7 mm diameter and roughly 48 mm length. Any holder that accepts this pin fits any lamp technically — the supplied table clamp just as much as a rolling stand or a wall bracket.
That is also why wall brackets from other manufacturers often work: a socket of around 13 mm is a common size. In every case the lamp is secured with the locking screw of the holder; no additional sleeve or adapter is required.
The four options compared
Table clamp (supplied with every lamp)
Clamps to the edge of the desk, needs no drilling, takes up no working surface. The desktop may be no thicker than 65 mm. With thicker tops, or a frame running underneath the edge, the clamp will no longer close. Measure this before ordering — it is the most common reason for a return.
Table stand
A heavy base that simply sits on the desk. Useful when the edge cannot be reached, when the top is too thick, or when the lamp needs to move between several workplaces. Downside: the base takes up working surface.
Rolling stand
Mobile, height-adjustable, independent of the desk. The right choice at a treatment chair, at a workbench with no free edge, or wherever the lamp has to follow changing positions.
Wall bracket
The most space-saving solution for a fixed workplace. Requires a load-bearing wall and a drilled hole — in return the desk stays completely clear.
If you combine things yourself
As long as you take a set from our range, you need not think about the combination — it is put together for exactly that purpose. If you assemble something yourself, for instance an older lamp with a new stand, it is worth looking at the weight.
The articulated arm levers the load far outwards. The heavier the lamp head, the sooner a rolling stand becomes unstable in certain positions. As a guide from our advisory practice:
- Up to 152 mm lens diameter the combination with a rolling stand is uncritical.
- From 170 mm lens diameter there is a range of positions in which the stand tends to tip. Usable, yes — but align it with care and do not leave it fully extended.
- Particularly heavy older models should not be operated on a rolling stand.
At the desk the question does not arise: table clamp and table stand are supported by the desktop and cannot tip.
In short
- Desk edge free and no more than 65 mm thick? The supplied clamp is enough — you need nothing else.
- Edge unusable but room on the desk? Choose the "with table stand" variant.
- Lamp needs to travel? The "with rolling stand" variant.
- Desk should stay clear? A wall bracket, available separately.
- Already own the lamp? Order the stand on its own — the pin fits.
If you are unsure, send us your model and the thickness of your desktop. We will tell you what fits — even when the answer is "the clamp you already have".
